In March, 2017, forming machine for ears of both ends of shaft, researched and developed by Damon Industry Equipment Management Department, has been successfully trial-produced at Huzhou base. Team spirit has been fully developed in the process of project, researching, manufacturing and successful trial. The success is a sign that Damon Industry always goes ahead in equipment industry.
With the development of industry, more requests on product quality and stability have been brought forward by the customers, for conveyor rollers are core components of logistics equipment. One of performance indexes of conveyor rollers is reasonability and consistency of shaft channeling dimension, which determines whether the rollers can run efficiently and stably.
How do we improve the running index of conveyor rollers? How do we guarantee machining precision of ears of both ends of shaft, the core component of conveyor rollers? Apparently, technology can’t be improved with our former technique and equipments. We need to expand horizons. Not only should we start from equipment structure and processing technique to fully understand relevant technology parameters required by work-piece processing, but also meet production efficiency. Therefore, we should fully consider Takt time and essentials of motion while designing.
Due to the concern of company leaders and the assistance of technology and manufacturing department, Damon Industry Equipment Management Department confirmed the mature manufacturing plan through research and brainstorming while communicating and analyzing with relevant departments. Equipment engineers designed the overall structure according to manufacturing scheme. The final design was confirmed after several drafts. After 4-month tense manufacturing and constant details optimization, the equipment was successfully produced.
Based on the analysis of the test data of thousands of work-pieces, various indexes of the equipment meet all processing parameters of relevant products such as dimension precision between position ears of both ends of shaft. Its tolerance can be controlled within ±0.1mm with high consistency precision so to ensure one performance index of conveyor roller—stability of channeling dimension which improves running index of Damon Industry conveyor rollers.
The mould structure of the equipment adopts new structure to change model easily. The length adjustment use servo feeding system. Brand ball screw pair guarantees the adjustment of length precision. Operators only input relevant length dimensions and the equipment adjusts dimensions automatically. These functions dramatically shorten auxiliary adjustment time and improve the efficiency and safety performance. This equipment can reduce the noise which is no more than 50 decibels with hydraulic control principle to better working conditions.
This equipment can be combined with pre-working process as unitized module production. It can realize the fluency between working procedures and efficiency through feeding mechanism.
Taking “equipment innovation, lean production” as the guidelines to optimize production end is Damon Industry’s important measure to improve customer value. This thought is reflected by the improvement of the equipment. In addition, Damon Industry defined year 2017 as “Quality Year” to require each employee to implement the spirit of craftsman in any work details and producing stage and create more value for the customer with high quality products.
