The day we completed the project finally came after 498 days(from the 13th of January 2019 to the 30th of June 2020),with the joint efforts of saijie and Damon Industry teams.

Damon Industry implemented the international software platform, SAGE, into its ERP system. Sagesoft is the third largest management software vendor in the world. It provides one of the most advanced management solutions and it comes with the best software design. Damon Industry implemented a global software hoping that through joint learning, the company's management will reach new heights. It also aimed for providing a platform that can synchronize with other systems in the future, but also for laying a foundation for Damon Industry’s subsidiary companies. Including all the functions of the previous ERP, an external interface for financial operations and a PDA barcode management system were added.

At the closing meeting, both teams expressed their thoughts and feelings. 

Here we extracted a part from Kaifeng project manager Dai Dayong’s speech: “There were 498 days in which we devoted ourselves to the project, and comparable to the process of love, from falling in love to making a family of three, it was full of emotions. I am thankful for being part of the experience of working together with Damon Industry’s employees, from understanding to implementing each step of the project.”

Damon Industry Project Manager Zhang Xing: “I don’t know how many meetings were held, how many times we changed the size plan, how many issues we found and sorted out and I cannot even count the days in which how many employees worked overtime, but delivering the project on time should make us all feel proud. Although it is not perfect yet, we are confident that its beauty will be soon revealed.”

Deputy general manager of Damon Industry Jin Chunhui,: This project covers a wide range of issues and at the same time it is fully available online. Completing this project in 400 days was really difficult, but production costs for each product, including transportation, are now calculated automatically. There are still some improvements to be made in terms of efficiency, but I believe we will eventually achieve great levels of both accuracy and efficiency. 

Damon Industry Technical Director Dai Guohua: “Its arrival has allowed us to reduce delays, by using it together with the reporting system, we’ll increase efficiency. Of course we still have the responsibility to enter correct data into the system.”

Finance Manager Xu Ming: “Management and finance, financial guidance management and support management have been all implemented into ERP.”

Production Manager Lin Xiufeng: “You play in the front yard, we take the backyard, we are climbing mountains and peaks, while the volume of business is also increasing, we are going from darkness to light, and the more efforts we make, the more clearly we see, thanks to the front-end technology and the plan.”

General manager Cai Yongzhen: “Damon Industry and Kaifeng teams have a rich experience  in ERP. At the same time, they both proved to be able to fight all the battles as scheduled. We achieved 75 points in a current satisfaction survey regarding ERP, which proves that we still have a long way to go. The company has ambitious plans that require us to work hard. It’s hard work only or no work at all. At the same time, we must learn to acknowledge and to dig deeper into the system, thanks”

On June 30, 2020, the ERP project conclusion meeting of Damon Industry was successfully held, indicating that the management level of Damon Industry has reached a new level.This meeting is not only the closing meeting of the first phase, but also the starting meeting of the second phase optimization.Next, the Damaon Industry team and the ERP company team will further cooperate to complete more than a dozen optimization projects in the second phase to further improve efficiency, improve process and improve management.All these are helpful for Damon Industry to better serve customers and fulfill the promise of "high quality roller guarantee".
