Standardization of Quality Management Process, making Damon Rollers more competitive

The process of manufacturing Damon Rollers follows a classical Make to Order (MTO) business production strategy. When the time limit for delivery is short, specifications vary a lot, trade is frequent, quality management proves to be of great importance. Over the last about 20 years, Damon Industry has been growing a lot and so it was its Quality Management System. Guaranteeing high-quality rollers has always been a top priority for Damon Industry.      

In order to satisfy the needs of our customers and the market, to help the company speed up its business growth, the hard-working Quality Management team members designed a “Quality Control plan” to make sure that the products pass initial, in-process, during production and final QC inspections; for each step of the production process, from raw material receiving, to production and transportation, there were established detailed acceptance testing content, standards, methods, check frequency and record frequency, along with certain tasks for each worker, so that the whole process could be effectively controlled.        

At the end of 2017, sales increased by 50%:

1.The average value of the products’ First Pass Yield (FPY) in 2017 touched 99.53%.

2.Customer complaints rate was reduced by 26% in 2017, as compared to 2016.

 3.Customer satisfaction increased by 2.82 points.

In order to improve customer service, in 2017, the company developed an online quality management system, which allows the customers to check production progress and the results of product testing directly on the website or on their phones, by downloading the mobile app.  In order to ensure on-time delivery, the company developed a supplier management platform: K3 supplier platform allows customers a better understanding of the production planning, quality and reserve quantity, reducing the risks of cancelling the order.    

Over the last about 20 years, people at Damon Industry have been keeping up with an unrelenting work pace, providing a quality policy saying “In standardized management, quality comes first, clients are the most important and continuous improvement is a must”. With the guidance of our top managers, we designed a management system that fits a customer-oriented company, by investing more resources into upgrading our software and hardware so as to be able to keep ourselves updated on the latest information technology and to ensure high-quality products; we are working hard for building an automated, digitized, intelligent production, as well as for internationalizing our products. In the same time, we commit to provide high-quality rollers to each and every one of our customers.
